Sydney Boyum
- Sydney is an ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist with a lot of experience working with pediatric populations and multicultural clients. She received my Bachelor's of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders at The University of Georgia and my Master's of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Georgia Southern. She spent a lot of her career as a school-based SLP, traveling around Dekalb County and focusing her skills in a high need, refugee community in Clarkston. She has a strong interest in working with Autism and Augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). She is also PROMPT therapy trained and working towards PROMPT certification. With this educational background, she brings a unique perspective on her clients' daily expectations and aims to design and provide therapy that builds functional skills that her clients can then generalize across environments with peers, family, teachers, etc. She also strives to individualize her services to her clients' needs as well as her client's interests. When she is not working, you can find Sydney playing video games or making costumes for Dragoncon!
