Kate Kowalyshen
- Kate grew up in the Chicago area, and received her bachelor's degrees in human physiology and music from the University of Iowa in 2017. She then moved to Florida to attend the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences to pursue her dream of becoming an occupational therapist. During her program, she had the opportunity to complete fieldwork rotations in hand therapy and outpatient pediatrics. Although she enjoys working with people of all ages, she developed a passion for working with kids. To complete her doctoral project, she created and implemented a pediatric group drumming program to promote social participation. Kate strives to provide child and family-centered care to make her treatments both evidence-based and fun for the children and their families. In her free time, Kate likes exploring her new city, exercising, cooking, playing the piano, and spending time with friends and family.
