  • Kamari Toney is a dedicated speech-language pathologist with a passion for enhancing communication in pediatric populations and clients from diverse cultural backgrounds. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders, along with a Spanish for Professionals Certification, from Valdosta State University. Kamari then completed her Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Memphis and holds a certification in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). Throughout her graduate program, Kamari gained valuable experience in various settings, including outpatient clinics, private practices, hospitals, and schools. She has worked extensively with diverse populations in early intervention, the NICU, AAC, and aural rehabilitation for children with hearing loss. Kamari provides comprehensive screenings, evaluations, and treatments for a range of speech and language disorders, including articulation and phonological disorders, fluency disorders, receptive and expressive language disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, pragmatic deficits, feeding disorders, literacy, and cognition. She is skilled in using AAC technology to enhance communication and employs child-led, play-based approaches in her therapy sessions. Kamari is passionate about working with children and is committed to designing unique and engaging therapy sessions tailored to each client's needs, goals, and interests. A strong advocate for parent coaching, Kamari believes in empowering caregivers with the tools and techniques necessary to support their child's communication development. In her free time, Kamari enjoys spending time with family and friends, taking dance classes (bachata, ballet, salsa, hip hop), and traveling.
