- Cailan is a dedicated speech-language pathologist who loves helping children find their voices in ways that feel natural and meaningful. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Communication Science and Disorders from Florida State University and a Master of Science in Communication Science and Disorders from Georgia State University. With experience in both school and private practice settings, Cailan has worked with children of varying communication needs, including those with autism spectrum disorder, speech sound and motor speech disorders, fluency disorders, and receptive and expressive language disorders. She believes play is a child's most natural way of learning and incorporates it into therapy to make communication fun, engaging and meaningful. Through a child-led approach and neurodiversity-affirming practices, she strives to foster meaningful relationships with each child to support their communication development. Cailan firmly believes all forms of communication—whether spoken words, gestures, AAC or echolalia—are meaningful and valid. She has experience working with a variety of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices and is dedicated to helping children build confidence and self-advocacy through multi-modal communication. She prioritizes parent coaching and teamwork with families to support progress at home. In her free time, she enjoys finding gluten-free options around the Atlanta area, walking her corgi on the beltline, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
